Our story
The Michaels Ave Community Centre is a joint effort between Ellerslie Football and Ellerslie Cricket and council to deliver a world class community asset in the idyllic Michaels Ave Reserve. After many years of fundraising by the two Ellerslie sports clubs we are proud to finally have a building that represents the community driven spirit we see week in and week out down at Michaels Ave.
This project would not have been possible without the support of the Orakei Local board, Auckland City Council and a number of other generous funding agencies (more information can be found about them on the sponsors page).
Our mission
The goal for the Michaels Ave Community Centre is simple, to be a valued asset for the community, whether that be through hosting community meetings and events, hosting sports events or even just being a place to grab a bite to eat and chat to your local community members.
Our team
The Michaels Ave Community Centre is run by a board of directors, consisting of two representatives from Ellerslie Football and two representatives from Ellerslie Cricket as well as up to three independent representatives from the Ellerslie community.
